082: The Starving ED podcast comes to an end!

Episode 82: Today’s podcast is short and sweet. It’s less than four minutes long from start to finish and I invite you to have a listen. I wanted to announce officially that the Starving ED podcast has come to an end, at least for the time being. I also wanted to thank all of my listeners and all of my guests.

It has been an honor to speak with and get to know so many different folks from all walks of life. Thank you for sharing your story!

She was named one of Canada’s Top 100 influencers for 2018, 2019 and 2020 by Optimyz fitness magazine and is the author of, “The Body Image Survival Guide for Parents” and “The Good Stripper: A Soccer Mom’s Memoir of Lies, Loss and Lap Dances” where she shares in raw, honest and intimate detail her eye-popping journey to self-discovery.

In today’s episode, Marci shares about how the death of her brother prompted her 20+ year struggle with an eating disorder, how she recovered and what she has learned through her experiences, and also what she is doing today to help kids thrive in a culture that is heavily focused on image and appearance.

Episode 75: Sarah Meiseles – Sarah is in recovery from anorexia and compulsive exercise. She is 21 years old and in community college. Her hope and dream are to become an eating disorder therapist and one day open her own treatment center and somehow change insurance so they see how deadly eating disorders are. Sarah has the most adorable dog named Harmony who is Sarah’s motivation to get fully better and reach her goals.

In today’s episode, Sarah is back celebrating the one-year anniversary episode of the Starving ED podcast and sharing about her continuing recovery journey and inspiring others to continue on theirs.
